Dr. Holly Catterton Allen

Dr. Holly Catterton Allen was the founding director of the InterGenerate Conference in 2015, and is still part of the planning team. Her main areas of academic interest are intergenerational ministry and children's spiritual formation. She and her husband, Leonard live in Nashville, Tennessee where they enjoy hiking, gardening, and cooking together.

Gabby Brandner

Gabby Brandner is a senior Children’s Ministry major at Lipscomb University. She is passionate about the role of children in the faith community and children’s spirituality. Her current research includes the intersection of children’s spirituality and trauma, the implications of children being made in the image of God, and adapting spiritual disciplines for children.

 

Rev. Dr. Christina Embree

Christina Embree is the founder of ReFocus Ministry, a nonprofit committed to connecting generations in meaningful relationships for lifelong discipleship. She holds a master’s in Children, Youth, and Family Ministry and a doctorate in spiritual formation focused on intergenerational ministry. She currently ministers with Open Door Church in Lexington, Kentucky.

Rev. Larry L. Green

Larry L. Green, originally from Jamaica, has cultivated a diverse ministry background in the Bahamas and now serves as Associate Pastor at the Restoration Praise Center in Bowie, MD. Alongside his wife Schkara and their four children, he is deeply committed to bridging generational gaps in faith across communities. Currently finalizing his doctorate at Andrews University, Larry focuses on intergenerational faith formation leveraging his experience to foster meaningful connections within various faith communities.

Rev. Dr. Valerie Grissom

Dr. Valerie Grissom is a certified pastor in the Northwest Coast Presbytery, near Seattle, Washington. As a worship leader and pastor for over 19 years in a variety of denominations and ecumenical settings, Valerie is passionate about worship renewal in the Church. Valerie's research, writing, speaking, coaching, and mentoring focus on intergenerational and intercultural worship.

Rev. Dr. Wilson McCoy

Dr. Wilson McCoy (MDiv, DMin) lives in Lebanon, Tennessee where he serves as Associate Minister at the College Hills Church of Christ. Over the last decade he has served in young adult, small group, adult education, and preaching ministry. His doctoral work focuses on intergenerational spiritual formation. In his free time he likes to experiment in the kitchen, listen to Wilco, and take family walks with his wife and daughter. Wilson is the Marketing and Communication Director for InterGenerate.

Dr. Dawn Rundman

Dawn Rundman develops congregational resources for Sparkhouse and Augsburg Fortress, two imprints of 1517 Media. Wielding a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology, a fondness for innovative faith practices, a love of wordsmithing, and several years as a summer camp counselor, Dawn believes intergenerational church communities can be hubs for healthy human development that nurture faith, build relationships, and reinforce vocation. Dawn is the Marketing and Communication Director for InterGenerate.Dawn is the InterGenerate Treasurer.

Rev. Breen Marie Sipes

Pastor Breen Marie Sipes is an ELCA Lutheran pastor, a full-time parent, and an all-time advocate for intergenerational ministry. She is the board president and a facilitator for Music that Makes Community, where she practices brave shared leadership in building community through singing together.

 

Rev. Dr. Amy Yu

Rev. Dr. Amy Yu holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from Trinity Western Seminary. With three decades of full-time pastoral ministry at churches and Christian organizations, Amy realizes the challenges of the age-specific ministry model. Churches face issues like generational fragmentation, disconnection between ministries, further segregation of language groups, and a lack of connection with the children within the churches. Amy is particularly interested in the impact of intergenerational ministry on children's and adult’s faith formation, and it became her doctoral research study.
