InterGenerate Conference 2027

June 22-24 Prince Conference Center Calvin University, Grand Rapids, MI

The sixth biannual InterGenerate Conference will be June 22-24, 2027, at the Prince Conference Center, on the beautiful campus of Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan 6 miles from an international airport. We are SO excited to announce a collaboration between InterGenerate and Threads Within by GenOn Ministries.

Our theme is Weaving Together Generations of Faith:  “I want you woven into a tapestry of love, in touch with everything there is to know of God.” (Colossians 2:2, MSG).

Our 2027 conference will include everything you have loved about past  conferences, including Global Dialogue and Presentations on Intergenerational Ministry, Call to Papers, Workshops, Vendors, and Affinity Groups. BUT we are thrilled to present the option for ALL GENERATIONS to participate, which means you can bring along family and friends, as we will be providing activities throughout the conference where ALL can be “woven-in”.

Your Registration Fee Includes:

  • Four meals (Tues. dinner, Wed. lunch and dinner, and Thurs. lunch), shared around the table, providing opportunity for rich conversation and deep connection throughout the conference.

  • Community-Centered Gatherings for all ages with engaging Presenters and Intergenerational Activities, and Breakout Sessions with Workshops, Call to Papers, Taste-and-See, Intergenerational Service Projects, and diverse intergenerational Worship Experiences, covering a variety of topics in the latest research, theology, and practice regarding intergenerational ministry.

  • Multi-sensory, interactive, Intergenerational Prayer Chapel

  • Affinity Groups that enable networking, brainstorming, and community support.

  • Discounts available for families, groups (4 or more adults), and students.

Note: We are not offering an online offering for the June conference so that we can focus all our efforts on the in-person gathering. Since 2024 we have provided many online learning opportunities. Check our website and sign up for emails to learn about future events.

Early Bird (Oct. 15 - Mar. 31)

Individual $295/per adult*

Special Family/Household/Caregiver Rates for Those Accompanying a Paying Adult: 

  • Additional adult $95/per adult**

  • Youth participant, 0-4 years Free**

  • Youth participant, 5-18 years $50/per youth**

Student (College/Grad School) $195/per student

Group (4 or more adults) $245/per adult

* Adults are 19+ years old

** Children/Youth (0-18 years old) must be accompanied by an adult.

Regular (April 1 - May 31)

Individual $325/per adult

Group (4 or more adults) $275/per adult

Just in Time (June 1 - June 15)

Individual $350/per adult

Group (4 or more adults) $300/per adult

*Special $25 Discount for Registrants who present a receipt at registration from Messy Church Conference, April 15-17, and/or Children’s Spirituality Summit, June 2-4, 2027.


Refund Policy: We recognize that plans may change and strive to offer flexibility while covering necessary administrative costs.

  • Full Refund: Cancellations made at least 4 weeks before the conference will receive a full refund, minus a $40 administrative fee.

  • Partial Refund: Cancellations made within 4 weeks of the conference are eligible for a 50% refund, as many expenses will have already been committed.

  • No Refund: Cancellations made within 7 days of the event or no-shows are not eligible for a refund.

I’ve been to InterGenerate before. What is new about the 2027 Conference?

InterGenerate is collaborating with GenOn Ministries, through their Threads Within initiative, to offer opportunities for ALL ages to participate in this year’s conference! We are so excited that Threads Within seeks to weave intergenerational opportunities throughout our event. We want participants to know that you can bring along young people, and others from your household, and that they are welcome to participate where they would like. At the same time, we recognize some of us will be coming to get a break, and may choose NOT to bring our young people, and that is totally ok too!

What is the same and will not change from previous conferences?

The InterGenerate Conference will still offer all the same features as it did before: Academic Papers, Engaging Workshops, Taste and Sees, Affinity Groups, Intergenerational Worship Experiences, Prayer Chapel for All Ages, Vendors, and much, much more. By inviting children and youth to attend, we will be enhancing intergenerational experiences and offering places for younger and elder to engage intergenerationally.

What are the InterGenerate conference dates?

The InterGenerate 2027 Conference will take place June 22-24, 2027. Times: We begin on Tuesday afternoon , at 1:30 pm Eastern Daylight Time and end on Thursday at 12:45 pm.

Lodging

All conference attendees need to make their own arrangements for travel to and from Prince Conference Center, at Calvin University, as well as lodging while at the conference. Here are lodging options:

On-Campus Lodging: 

  1. Prince Conference Hotel: 69 Hotel Rooms are offered right at the Prince Conference Center for our conference, and will be available in the order of those who reserve them. Conference attendees will be offered the special rate of $125/night plus tax. A complimentary breakfast is included each morning of your stay. The hotel has 54 rooms with two queen beds, 12 king rooms with pull out sleeper sofas, and 3 king suites that include a kitchenette, fridge, and microwave.   2. Dorm Rooms at a Discounted Rate: Calvin will also be opening Dorm rooms to offer on-campus housing at affordable rates. Breakfast is not included with your stay.   1. Who is this conference for? As in previous years, we aim to create a conference that can benefit both practitioners and academics in the field of intergenerational ministry. It does not matter if you are new to intergenerational ministry or more experience in this work. We will have something for everyone! 

  2. What does it mean” “same conference and for all ages”? This year we are aiming to create a conference experience that includes adults and children. Instead of just talking about intergenerational ministry, we want to model it in our time together. You can expect many of the great things from previous conferences, but also opportunities for you to experience intergenerational moments woven throughout. 

  3. Can I bring a relative or friend to be with my children while I absorb the conference, but they will not plan to participate in the event itself? Yes, absolutely! The only registration cost will be lodging (if separate lodging is needed) and for meals (not the full registration).

  4. What is the dress code? Plan to wear comfortable clothing and good walking shoes for moving about campus. Pack a layer to add if the air conditioning is too cool for your liking. 

  5. What will the weather be like here? Daytime temperatures during June can vary from mid 60s to lower 90s F (18-32 Celsius).
