Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT MEALS ARE SERVED AT THE CONFERENCE?

Four meals are covered in your registration fee:
-   The Sunday evening meal, an Italian buffet, will precede the Sunday evening session.
-   Monday lunch will be served employing a distinctive family-style approach facilitated by GenOn, one of the conference sponsors (barbecue & trimmings)
-   The Monday evening meal will be served in the speaking venue during the Monday evening main session (Aristotle chicken).
-   Tuesday lunch will be a box lunch (a fabulous chicken bistro salad with yeast roll); this meal will coincide with the Tuesday afternoon plenary.
All conference meals are served in Ezell, the building where all conference gatherings will take place.

Breakfast on Monday and Tuesday are on your own
-   The Lipscomb cafeteria (in Bennett Student Center) is open for those meals, and there are two other on-campus options as well:
-   Starbucks (Bennett Student Center; center of campus #25 on campus map)
-   Au Bon Pain (right next to Ezell—the building where our conference convenes)
Also near campus, within walking distance (across the street [Granny White Pike] on the east side of the campus) are two more breakfast options:
-   Subway (breakfast and lunch)
-   The Well, a coffee shop with breakfast options

Within one mile of campus, many other food options exist if you wish to drive (Panera, McDonald’s, another Starbucks, along with many nice restaurants if you will be in town before or after the conference: Carrabba’s, Cheesecake Factory, California Pizza Kitchen, etc.).

WHAT IF I HAVE A SPECIAL DIET?

Please contact Shirley Carlson, one of the InterGenerate Task Force members, regarding food allergies or other special food needs at info@intergenerateconference.com. Shirley is working with our caterers to provide any special meals that are required. All requests must be submitted by June 1 in order to be honored.

HOW DO I GET THERE FROM THE AIRPORT?

The Nashville airport (code BNA) is 15-20 minutes from the campus.

Taxi: costs about $25; we can recommend American Music City Taxi at 615.865.4100
Uber: @ $16 – $18.
Shuttle: We can recommend InShuttle.com : $14 one way, or $20 round-trip when both ways are booked together.

Address: For cab/Uber/Lyft for delivery to campus or for pick up from campus:
    Lipscomb University/Ezell Building
4050 Belmont Blvd. (cross street Green Hills Drive)
    Nashville, TN 37204
Caution: If the driver puts Lipscomb University into his/her GPS, the directions will take you to another place on campus, not to our conference center in Ezell; please give the driver the address previously listed (4050 Belmont Boulevard, Nashville). With this address, the driver should take you to the west side of the campus on Belmont Boulevard toward the south end of the campus. Signs will be posted where to turn into the campus off Belmont; registration is in Ezell. The driver can drive you to the entrance of Ezell (handicap entrances for the building will be marked as well). Click here for a campus map.

If you are staying on campus in Johnson Hall, you will be able to walk from Ezell to your dorm (even with your luggage) after you register.

WHAT IF I'M DRIVING?

If you are driving your car, the address you will need to put into your GPS is:
Lipscomb University/Ezell Building (#44 on the attached map)
4050 Belmont Blvd. (cross street Green Hills Drive)
Nashville, TN 37204

Do not use the usual Lipscomb University address, as it will take you to another entrance area. There are guest spots in front of Ezell where you may park your car while you register; then you will need to move your car to the parking garage to the south of Ezell. The garage is #46 on the campus map.
